Job Summary
Conduct tender and bid analysis from initial documentation through reporting to ensure client value for money. Manage the change management process by identifying, approving, and implementing cost-impacting changes. Create estimates and cost plans for key client developments while overseeing project spend via valuations and cost reports. Assist in preparing final accounts, handling claims, and supporting the settlement of construction disputes with transparency. Communicate variations clearly to the team and foster employee growth through mentorship and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior Cost Manager
- Experience in pre-contract cost management
- Experience in budget control
- Experience in cost planning
- Experience in preparing change forms
- Knowledge of alternative construction materials
- Chartered status or on the path to complete it
- Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage own priorities and deadlines
- Ability to build strong relationships with team and clients
- Ability to conduct interviews in person or virtually with video
