Job Summary
Report monthly on departmental financial status to key stakeholders and ensure operational departments follow financial policies. Assist in developing stage gate estimates, budget sanction documentation, and all budget system setups using Cost or Work Breakdown Structures. Track project costs against sanctioned budgets, execute transactional requirements including purchase orders and ledger reconciliations, and support month-end processes for accruals and variance mitigation. Interface with internal and external stakeholders to maintain data flow, prepare cost-related reporting, manage change requests, and support project close-out activities. Leverage proficiency in Excel, Power Apps, and PowerBi to interpret large data sets and drive continuous improvement in a data-driven organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying, Finance, Accounting or a related field
- 7 years of relevant construction experience, or alternatively up to 10 years experience in a similar environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Apps, and digital tools such as PowerBi
- Must be articulate
- have clear and analytical approach to problem solving
- good decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statements
- Must be able collaborate and coordinate with several stakeholders, gaining alignment, and establishing structure
- Must be able to interpret and analyze large data sets and report analysis concisely
