Senior Cost Manager (Data Centers)

Job Summary
Conduct tender analysis and bid documentation from initial stages through reporting to ensure client value for money. Manage change management processes by identifying, analyzing, and implementing cost-affecting changes. Create estimates, cost plans, and valuations for key client developments while overseeing project spend through clear cost reports. Assist in preparing final accounts, handling claims, and supporting the settlement of construction disputes with transparency. Communicate variations to the team and foster employee growth through mentorship and leadership. This hybrid role involves on-site presence at the Data Center project with a focus on pre-contract cost management and budget control within a global consultancy.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a Senior Cost Manager
- Experience in pre-contract cost management
- Experience in budget control
- Experience in cost planning
- Experience in preparing and initiating change forms for discussion with other project stakeholders
- Knowledge on alternative construction materials
- Chartered status or on the path to complete it
- Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage own priorities and deadlines
- Ability to build strong relationships with team and clients
- Hybrid on-site availability at the Data Center project
- Availability for one week per month on the site
- Remote work availability for the remainder of the time
- Ability to attend interviews in person or virtually with video
