Job Summary
Lead tender and bid processes from initial documentation through analysis and reporting, while managing change management to identify, analyze, and implement cost-affecting changes. Analyze tenders to ensure client value, create estimates and cost plans for key developments, and oversee project spend via valuations and cost reports. Assist in final account preparation, handle claims for best value, and support construction dispute settlements with transparency. Communicate variations clearly and foster team performance through mentorship and leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Experience as a senior cost manager
- Experience in pre-contract cost management
- Experience in budget control
- Cost planning
- Preparing and initiating change forms for discussion with other project stakeholders
- Knowledge on alternative construction materials
- Chartered status or being on the path to complete it
- Degree or comparable experience in a project management or construction discipline
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Ability to manage own priorities and deadlines in a dynamic environment
- Ability to build strong relationships with team and clients through a shared purpose and sense of openness and fun
- Availability for interviews conducted either in person or virtually with video required
