Job Summary
Senior Cost Estimator for commercial fitouts in a remote-capable, independent-contractor role based in the Philippines. Responsibilities include preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for commercial construction projects, tender submissions, and procurement planning; analyzing architectural drawings, specifications, and documentation to produce timely cost plans; collaborating with design teams to influence cost-effective solutions; engaging with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations; maintaining pricing databases and monitoring market trends; conducting risk analysis and providing buildability evaluations to support competitive bids and project profitability. Requires 5+ years of estimating experience in design-and-construct, strong negotiation and communication skills, proficiency in Cubit, Procore, Microsoft Projects, and Excel, and the ability to work aligned with AU business hours while operating as an independent contractor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience estimating within design and construct, specialising in office fitouts
- Experience in estimating at preliminary and final design stages
- Strong negotiating skills
- Strong understanding of buildability and value engineering
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Detail-oriented with multitasking and tight deadlines
- Ability to manage multiple quoting tasks and timelines
- Proficiency with Cubit, Procore, Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Office Suite
- Remote work capability for AU business hours
