Job Summary
Review proposal drawings and specifications to determine scope of work and required bid contents. Prepare discipline estimates by calculating complete takeoffs of scope of work by CSI Division. Maintain files of working documents as backup for estimate figures, including current supplier pricing through direct contact, sales brochures, and price lists. Review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or material availability. Perform constructability reviews, plan and specification coordination, and subcontractor negotiations. Support at-risk design/build projects, A/E services, and federal government work with detailed takeoffs, design-to-cost estimating, and change order analysis.
Required Qualifications
- four-year degree
- architecture/engineering or construction management
- minimum of fifteen years' experience
- Experience with MS Office products
- Advanced skills with Excel
- Experience with on screen take-offs or estimating software such as Plan Swift
- Experience with BIM 360
- Experience with commercial off the shelf estimating software
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
