Job Summary
Senior Cost Estimator with a strong emphasis on electrical systems estimating for infrastructure projects. Develop independent cost estimates (ICE) across conceptual, preliminary, and final stages; prepare and review estimates for change orders and claims analysis; analyze plans, specs, and contracts to ensure accurate pricing; collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders; utilize Sage Estimating (or similar) to prepare detailed cost breakdowns; maintain up-to-date knowledge of pricing, labor rates, and market trends; provide input on risk and value engineering. Requires a bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience in construction estimating, with exceptional Excel skills and familiarity with Sage Estimating or HCSS HeavyBid; strong communication and negotiation abilities; fluency in English; AACE CEP considered a plus; experience with infrastructure projects (transit, bridges, highways, rail).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is required
- OSHA 10 certification is a condition of employment
- Background checks required
- Driver's license with satisfactory driving record per company policy
