Senior Cost Engineer - Systems

Integrate PLM (3D Experience/CATIA) with Cost Estimating tools to ensure CAD data flows seamlessly, reducing non-value-add work. Analyze accuracy and structure of CAD and BOM data to fix issues before building Cost Estimates, utilizing written assumptions, sample parts, and engineering drawings. Work with the PLM team and Cost Estimating Software vendors to address inefficiencies, delays, or errors. Continuously analyze data to highlight trends for future cost planning. Assume ownership of projects, plan milestones, and identify risks to ensure timely delivery of cost models. Independently apply manufacturing principles to maintain knowledge of material properties and cost drivers. Build and present compelling business cases to explain component cost analysis and persuade stakeholders to generate financial opportunities. Demonstrate advanced usage of aPriori or Costdata to autonomously modify process setups and create initial estimates for mechanical components like stampings and die casting. Advise direct counterparts using data-driven insights to influence peer work. Manage day-to-day responsibilities and assigned projects with minimal guidance, identifying and managing personal priorities in urgent situations. Report to the Senior Manager, Cost Engineering Vehicle Hardware & CE Systems, with an expected 25% travel requirement.
