Job Summary
Senior Cost Engineer responsible for leading cost planning and management across Life Science and Manufacturing projects, delivering cost estimates and reports, managing procurement and contract preparation, guiding value engineering and life cycle costing, and directing cost-management teams while interfacing with clients and internal/external stakeholders to ensure projects stay within budget and achieve strategic financial goals.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying (MS/MBA preferred)
- Professional membership (MRICS/RICS or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven capital program leadership experience
- Commercial and financial acumen
- Knowledge of value engineering, life cycle costing, contract law, and construction frameworks
- Experience managing capital projects within large, diverse teams
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-phase projects
- Experience managing relationships with key stakeholders
- Understanding of how carbon and sustainability considerations impact projects
