Senior Cost Control Specialist

Job Summary
Partner with the accounting team during month-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate financial results in compliance with IFRS or GAAP. Prepare and perform month-end closing, financial forecasting, close reporting, and executive-level presentations to deliver actionable data that empowers senior leadership. Monitor and analyze inventory roll-forward and material ledger movements to ensure the accuracy of inventory valuation and Cost of Goods Sold. Conduct comprehensive variance analysis to pinpoint key business growth drivers and provide strategic insights. Execute dynamic monthly rolling forecasts by analyzing critical operational drivers, including production volumes and cost structures. Collaborate closely with the CFO to design, develop, and manage the annual budget, long-range strategic planning, and target models. Proactively identify cost-optimization opportunities, drive process improvements, and spearhead corporate financial efficiency initiatives. In-office, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM EST.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in Cost Control and Financial reporting, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of financial systems, accounting principles, and regulatory frameworks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint), with strong Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis)
- Ability to problem to solve along with solid analytical skills and understanding or the business process
- Detail-oriented with the ability to identify discrepancies and take corrective action in a timely manner
- Database extraction and analysis experience
- Work Authorization: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship from HSBMA
- In-office, Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM EST
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred Bilingual in Korean & English (strongly preferred due to communication needs/expectations with South Korean headquarters)
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or similar accounting software is highly desirable
- Experience and knowledge in Battery industry accounting are a plus
