Job Summary
The Senior Cost Consultant role focuses on developing and maintaining construction cost estimates through all project design milestones, conducting detailed cost analysis, preparing comprehensive cost estimates and budgets, advising clients on cost-saving measures, and managing contracts with suppliers. Candidates should have over 7 years of experience and a University Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field. The position requires strong analytical skills, communication abilities, and proficiency in software like Excel and estimating tools. Applicants must have full Canadian working rights.
Required Qualifications
- 7 plus years’ experience delivering architectural and structural pre-construction and post contract construction cost services
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and documents
- A commitment to continuous professional development
- A high level of commercial awareness and exceptional communication skills
- Strong analytical capabilities and advanced organizational skills
- Proven experience in managing and successfully delivering quantity surveying mandates
- Demonstrated first‐principles estimating experience
- Strong drawing and specification interpretation
- Advanced computer skills, particularly in Excel
- Experience with estimating software and tools
- Full Canadian working rights (Citizen, Permanent Resident or valid Work Permit)
