Job Summary
Senior Cost Analyst (9-month fixed-term) at AIMCo in Edmonton, Alberta. Responsibilities include compiling external investment costs for financial statements, ensuring quarterly investment management fees are accrued and reported, preparing quarterly controller’s reports, performing quarterly variance analyses of external investment costs, assessing reasonability of prime loan fees monthly, collaborating with Front Office to calculate quarterly management fees for external fund managers, performing monthly reconciliations, and assisting with the annual financial statement audit. Ideal candidate has a Business/Accounting degree or diploma, and a CPA or CFA designation; 5+ years in related accounting or investment field; strong attention to detail and organizational skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office;Experience with Simcorp Dimensions and Power BI are assets; role requires a security screening and notes a flexible, hybrid approach to work.
Required Qualifications
- Business, Accounting or related degree or diploma preferred
- Professional designation such as CPA or CFA is required
- 5+ years in related accounting or investment field required
- Experience with Simcorp Dimensions is an asset
- Experience with Power BI is an asset
