Job Summary
Partner with the Plant Controller and operations leaders to align financial performance with operational goals and provide actionable insights. Analyze and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly financial performance to support data-driven decision-making. Lead continuous improvement initiatives using Lean/Six Sigma tools to optimize cost and strengthen financial controls. Own site budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, audit readiness, and compliance with GAAP and company financial policies. Collaborate with Operations to develop and maintain standard costing for existing and new products through a strong understanding of manufacturing value streams and cost drivers. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial documents with supporting schedules for Finance and Operations as well as Site Operations and Corporate Finance/Shared Services. This on-site role in Putnam, Connecticut, reports to the Plant Controller within the Finance & Accounting Team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
- 5+ years experience
- Master's degree in field
- 3+ years experience
- Doctoral degree in field
- 0-2 years experience
- Experience working in a manufacturing / plant-based work environment
- Solid understanding of finance/accounting
- SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley)
