Job Summary
The Senior Corporate Counsel will serve as a strategic legal partner to Sales and business teams, focusing on commercial contracting including SaaS agreements and vendor engagements. This role requires a proactive legal professional with strong analytical and problem-solving skills who can balance legal risk with commercial objectives. Candidates must have a Juris Doctor degree, admission to a state bar, and over 6 years of relevant experience, including the ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements. Additional responsibilities include advising on corporate legal rights, supporting mergers and acquisitions, and collaborating cross-functionally to align legal documentation with business goals.
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in corporate transactions and business law within a reputable law firm or corporate legal department.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school and active admission to a state bar.
- Proven experience drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements, including technology and SaaS contracts.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and business law principles.
- Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and provide practical, business-oriented advice.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- High attention to detail, organization, and preparedness.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the technology industry preferred.
