Job Summary
Negotiate and draft enterprise SaaS, data licensing, and MSA agreements with Fortune 500 pharma customers while balancing risk against speed. Translate emerging AI-governance obligations into internal policy, architect privacy programs across PIPEDA and HIPAA, and build playbooks for scaling contracting. Work directly with the CFO and sales leaders to manage complex, multi-threaded negotiations and represent the company with external procurement teams. Autonomously handle board resolutions, equity administration, and vendor agreements, flagging technical risks early to drive strategic discussions with the executive team and Board.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- J.D. or LL.B.
- good standing with a Canadian provincial bar
Desired Qualifications
- Familiarity with AI, machine learning, or legal technology sectors
- A technical or engineering background
- strong fluency working with engineering teams
