Job Summary
Prepare and negotiate real estate transactional agreements, including purchase and sale agreements, joint venture contracts, leases, and loan documents. Conduct economic feasibility analysis, due diligence, and title reviews to manage and track open escrows, tax-free exchanges, and closings. Administer the real estate portfolio by overseeing lease administration, option exercises, CAM reconciliations, and landlord-tenant defaults. Advise senior management on legal strategy, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance while interpreting complex legal documents and mitigating business risk. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align agreements with business objectives and oversee the selection of outside counsel. Manage various projects, deadlines, and general corporate secretarial tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Juris doctorate degree from accredited law school
- Good standing with the Bar Association
- 7+ years of corporate, real estate transactional work and contract negotiations
- Knowledge of corporate law
- Knowledge of business law
- Knowledge of real estate laws and regulations
- Knowledge of finance
- Proficiency in real estate financial analysis
- Knowledge of discounted cash flows
- Analysis of real market data
- Working knowledge of real estate investment principles
- Solid business acumen
- Knowledge of finance
- Substantial experience documenting and managing transactions
- Experience evaluating economic feasibility
- Experience performing due diligence
- Experience performing closings
- Significant experience with negotiating transaction documents
- Experience with operating agreements
- Experience with lease documents
- Experience with dealer site agreements
- Experience handling multiple deals, documents, transactions, and other matters
