Senior Corporate Counsel

Job Summary
Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts for technology partners, vendors, and customers, with a focus on professional services, SaaS, and software licensing. Provide legal advice on employment/HR matters, privacy, and information security to cross-functional teams including engineering and procurement. Manage global compliance issues such as anti-corruption, export control, and conflicts of interest while overseeing HR litigation and policy updates. Coordinate research into business legal questions and direct outside counsel on filings and disclosures. Execute on mergers and acquisitions growth strategy and lead local and global legal/operational units. This role supports Astound Digital's digital transformation by driving commercial contracting and data privacy protection for innovative brands globally.
Required Qualifications
- A Law degree or equivalent legal qualification from an accredited institution
- Active license to practice law and in good standing with a governing body
- 7+ years of professional in-house work experience
- 5+ years of working with USA and international based companies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent legal project management skills
- The ability to independently multitask and prioritize projects
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to be a teacher, leader, and student, as is expected from all team members
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Apps (G Suite), and cloud-based applications generally
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience with CRM based task management tools (i.e. JIRA / Confluence)
