Job Summary
Maintain and reconcile fixed asset accounts, prepare and post journal entries, and ensure data integrity within the Fixed Asset Database. Support capital expenditure activities by researching accounting treatment for assets and managing consistent capitalization execution. Record, classify, and summarize financial transactions in accordance with GAAP, while resolving differences and initiating corrective actions for the corporate accounting Asset Management sub-ledger. Prepare monthly and quarterly internal capital expenditure reports, assist in audit schedules, and support month-end and year-end close activities. Reconcile asset software to accounting software for financials and analyze data for management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with an Accounting or Finance concentration required or equivalent
- 5+ years' accounting experience, specifically with fixed assets
- Excellent knowledge of GAAP
- Advanced Excel user
- Ability to create ad hoc queries in database
- Comfortable with technology
- Ability to multi-task projects while meeting aggressive timelines with minimal supervision
- Outstanding interpersonal and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Result oriented
- Ability to adapt to continually changing technology
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in accounting for fixed assets preferred
- SAP (S/4HANA) experience preferred
- Experienced with Sage Software fixed asset system preferred
