Job Summary
Process semi-monthly payroll for 180 employees across multiple legal entities, manage vendor invoices and customer payments, and conduct monthly bank reconciliations. Generate accurate client invoices in accordance with federal regulations, maintain balance sheet schedules, and support month-end and year-end close processes with journal entries. Ensure all accounting activities comply with FAR and DCAA standards while managing AP, AR, and general ledger records. Requires proficiency with Unanet, ADP/Paychex/iSolved systems, and a strong background in government contracting within the defense or intelligence sectors. U.S. citizenship is required.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of accounting experience
- Prior experience working with Unanet or a similar ERP system
- Government contracting experience, particularly in the defense or intelligence sectors
- Third party payroll system familiarity (ADP, Paychex, or iSolved systems)
- Experience with Monthly Close procedures and closing Journal Entries
- Proficiency with Unanet accounting software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Solid understanding of compliance requirements related to federal contracting, including FAR and DCAA
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with sensitive financial data
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team
