Job Summary
Architect and lead development of proprietary trading stack systems, focusing on high-performance datastores for latency-sensitive strategies and control tools for operational safeguards. Design, build, and own systems from first sketch through production while translating quantitative researchers' needs into robust data platforms. Mentor team members, share knowledge, and drive simplicity in solutions without unnecessary complexity. Requires 5+ years in HPC or real-time systems, mastery of Python/C++, and fluency in English and French. Based in Paris with competitive compensation and full health insurance.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in HPC, large-scale data infrastructure, and/or real-time systems as a software or data engineer
- track record of owning significant systems from design through production
- Technical mastery in Python and/or C++
- judgment to know when each is the right tool
- Excellent command of relational databases and their alternatives
- ability to drill efficiently into data for answers and metrics
- Language skills in English and French, written and spoken
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience at a trading firm or similar low-latency, data-intensive environment
- Web development skills
