Job Summary
Senior Core Network Engineer at AIG responsible for design, engineering, and operational stability of a large-scale global network backbone across on-premises and cloud environments. Focus areas include core routing and switching, cloud networking (AWS/Azure/GCP), F5 BIG-IP technologies (LTM, GTM/DNS, ASM, APM), hybrid connectivity, and data center interconnectivity. Lead initiatives, drive automation and IaC, mentor engineers, manage multiple projects from design through implementation, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve resiliency, scalability, and security.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering. Hands-on with F5 BIG-IP; experience with AppViewX and load balancer management; cloud networking across AWS, Azure, GCP; experience with Prisma SASE and Alkira is a plus; Kubernetes ingress controllers and modern application connectivity architectures; strong routing/switching; security best practices; experience with automation/scripting (Ansible, Python, Terraform, REST APIs); strong communication and project leadership; willingness to work in a large enterprise environment.
