Job Summary
The Payroll Operations Senior Coordinator – Off-Cycle Processing role administers pay actions across multiple RTX business units, handling off-cycle checks, transfers, terminations, and military differential pay while ensuring accuracy, compliance with federal regulations, SOX controls, and RTX policies. Collaborates with LOA, Payroll Operations, TLM, HR, and business units to load, validate, and reconcile batches; processes changes in employee status and prepares payments for various pay cycles; reviews military leave cases and communicates results to employees and stakeholders; requires experience in payroll operations, SOX/compliance familiarity, and advanced Excel skills.
Required Qualifications
- Typically requires an Associates degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in payroll operations or an adjacent field in a large multi-business unit organization
- 6+ years of experience with payroll concepts including earnings, deductions, pretax adjustments, autopay, and offsets
- Experience with tools such as ADP EV5, Workday, SNOW, and reporting systems
- Proficiency in analyzing Leave & Earnings Statement documents and applying military pay rates to payroll calculations
- Experience processing termination and transfer transactions related to final pay and other time-off payouts across business units
- Familiarity with SOX controls and payroll compliance processes
- Advanced Excel analytical skills (Pivot Tables, Xlookup, etc.)
- Ability to work with complex multi-system workflows and adhere to federal laws and regulations
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, and audit skills
