Job Summary
Senior Controls Engineer leading design, oversight, and execution of complex electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical control system projects; acts as primary customer-facing engineer, mentors junior staff, and drives technical excellence from concept through commissioning using AutoCAD Electrical, Inventor, and PLC/HMI/VFD programming; requires UL508A/UL698A panel design expertise and cross-functional collaboration across engineering, fabrication, sales, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience with strong business acumen
- Minimum of 7–10 years of engineering experience with a proven track record of leading successful projects
- Willingness to complete company-assigned training to maintain technical competency and product knowledge
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
- Strong understanding of electrical components and their principles of operation
- Proficient in UL508A and UL698A panel design, including schematics and layout
- Skilled in AutoCAD Electrical and PLC/HMI programming
- Familiarity with industry standards and practices across electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience with Epicor Prophet 21 is a plus
- Knowledge of the industries MFCP serves is preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with customers, vendors, and cross-functional internal teams
- Comfortable presenting and speaking in front of customers and team members in a professional manner
- Leads with emotional intelligence—actively listens, communicates with clarity, and fosters a collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop team members while promoting a culture of alignment and engagement
- Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Capable of prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), with a willingness to adopt new tools and systems
- Able to read and interpret technical documents, including RFQs, POs, vendor quotes, drawings, and manuals
- Practical problem-solving skills with the ability to apply sound reasoning to complex challenges
- Salary: $115K-130K annually, DOE
