Job Summary
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of sophisticated controls and automation systems, overseeing complex industrial automation projects involving advanced PLCs, HMIs, robotics, and motion control. Provide strategic direction for automation technology deployment, guide programming of control devices, and direct cross-functional collaboration on continuous improvement initiatives. Oversee advanced troubleshooting to resolve intricate system issues, set documentation standards, and deliver training programs to mentor junior engineers. Manage controls-related projects from conceptualization through implementation while championing the evaluation and adoption of emerging automation technologies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in advanced controls engineering roles in manufacturing environments or with systems/machine integrators
- leadership experience
- Expert knowledge of advanced control system design principles and state-of-the-art industrial automation technologies
- Excellent programming skills for sophisticated PLCs, HMIs, and robotics systems
- Proven ability to lead complex engineering projects, from inception to completion, with a track record of innovation and success
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills
- Experience with advanced Allen Bradley control systems
- a deep understanding of process controls, remote operations, and SCADA systems
