Job Summary
Design automation control systems from start to finish, including troubleshooting, field startup, and commissioning for automotive and manufacturing industries. Review specifications and standard practices to establish non-standard designs, then create system map layouts, sequence of operations, drawings, PLC logic, and HMI screens. Specify panel and field materials by generating Electrical Bills of Material. Assist in installation oversight, perform startup and debugging at customer facilities, and provide launch and standby support. Requires 5+ years of experience as a systems integrator with control panel design, proficiency in RSLogix 5/5000 and PanelBuilder, and ability to travel. Must be able to climb ladders, walk a mile in 20 minutes, lift 30lbs, and carry a laptop while performing these duties.
Required Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor's or associate degree in related engineering or technology field, or equivalent relevant work experience with a technical degree
- 5+ years of industry experience working for a systems integrator; must include control panel and circuit design
- Non-standard designs, system map layouts, sequence of operations, reviewing cycle time, studies and dimension switch layouts
- Design packages, design logic, enter logic, and the design of Smart Displays
- Knowledge of System Architecture, including non-standard material, control panel power requirements and/or distribution
- Capable of reviewing the specifications and standard practices (internal hardwired and logic standards, general specifications and scope of work)

- RS Networx
- DriveExecutive, DirveExplorer
- PanelBuilder PDS, 1400e, 32, RSView Studio
- Authorization to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship form CEC Controls
- Able to climb a 2-story ladder
- Can walk a mile in 20 minutes
- Be able to cover, on foot, a reasonable distance on a job site
- Able to lift up to 30lbs without difficulty
- All of the above items to be accomplished while carrying a laptop computer
Desired Qualifications
- Ford NextGen or GVOSS standards
- GM G12 standards
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Capable of assisting with installation and debugging with no additional support
- Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere
- Ability to travel
