Job Summary
The Senior Controls Engineer will lead or participate in project teams focused on the design, configuration, and testing of continuous and batch control applications. Responsibilities include managing project scope and financials, providing solutions to project challenges, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert in automation. The role requires hands-on experience with process plants, proficiency in PLC and HMI programming, and familiarity with industry standards. Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, along with 3-5 years of relevant industry experience.
Required Qualifications
- BS Engineering degree or equivalent educational background
- Minimum of 3-5 years in industry, preferably in Life Sciences domain
- Hands-on experience rapidly troubleshooting and solving equipment & instrument-related issues during start-up and commissioning
- Demonstrated ability to develop process control system applications
- Solid understanding of object-oriented software development & delivery methodologies
- Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards, design criteria and codes relevant to Instrumentation and Controls
- Expertise with the design, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of virtual server-based control system architectures
- Experience working at customer sites supporting the installation & commissioning of equipment and systems
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of process instrumentation specification, installation & troubleshooting
- Understanding of server architecture
- Hands on experience executing automation projects for process plants
