Job Summary
Join SumUp's Brazil Controlling team as a Senior Controlling Analyst, where you will execute monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and account substantiation packages. You will conduct Month-End Close (MEC) reviews across key accounting areas and support Brazilian regulatory filings in coordination with the Tax team. Your role involves reconciling intercompany balances, engaging with external auditors, and enhancing financial statement preparation processes. Candidates should have 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, familiarity with Brazilian and IFRS regulations, hands-on expertise in SAP or similar ERP systems, and outstanding communication skills in both Portuguese and English.
Required Qualifications
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Controlling, Accounting, and/or Audit (Big4) in a structured finance environment
- Solid, hands-on knowledge of Brazilian GAAP (BR GAAP) and IFRS fundamentals
- Familiar with Brazilian regulatory reporting requirements, ideally with exposure to BCB/COSIF environments and CADOC reporting
- Proficient in SAP or an equivalent ERP
- Advanced GSheets/Excel skills
- Proactive and reliable communicator in Portuguese and English
- Strong ownership mindset
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with automation tools like Python, Zapier, Make.com and Langdock
- Curiosity about AI tools to accelerate work and process improvements
