Job Summary

Senior Control Systems Specialist responsible for designing, validating, and certifying engine control systems for gas turbine engines, including new centrelines, derivative legacy engines, and hybrid/demo configurations. Develop system-level requirements for engine controls, collaborate with aircraft manufacturers during concept phases to align control functionality with engine/aircraft requirements, and ensure evidence supports DO-178C processes for type certification. Work with suppliers to verify software and review data from simulations, engine tests, and flight tests. Create control system requirements and test plans/procedures for validation on closed-loop benches, engine test cells, and experimental flight test aircraft. Provide technical support to manufacturing and aftermarket sectors, review validation data, and generate top-level certification reports for submission to authorities. Knowledge areas include DO-178C, DO-254 (desirable), FADEC concepts, and aerospace software familiarity.
