Job Summary
Senior Control & Protection Engineer responsible for leading the end-to-end design, implementation, and development of HVDC Control & Protection systems. Provide technical guidance, design reviews, and mentoring to grow team capability; drive engineering processes and global practices; develop and verify models and studies using PSCAD, MATLAB-SIMULINK, and offline/online tools; manage customer interfaces, training, and tender-support activities; lead small programs and contribute to risk assessment and solution development across global projects.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electronics/Electrical engineering or proven equivalent knowledge and experience in HVDC business
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in control and protection system design
- Expertise in HVDC Control, Protection and Sequencing strategy
- Expertise in PSCAD and MATLAB-SIMULINK simulation tools
- Expertise in HVDC Dynamic Performance Studies
- Ability to understand and communicate customer requirements, ownership of technical discussions with customers and capable of developing client relationships
- Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to lead programs/projects
- Willingness to travel to support global projects
