Job Summary
Senior Contracts Specialist to support the government contracts portfolio within the Strategic Systems business area. Provides cradle-to-grave contract management for U.S. Government prime and subcontracts, including proposal development, negotiation, contract administration, and closeout while ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of DoD contracting experience in an R&D environment, expertise in FAR/DFARS, and strong writing and relationship-building skills. Proficient with MS Office, PIEE/Exostar, and ERP systems. DoD Secret clearance is required. Based in Boston, MA (onsite).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- 8+ years of DoD contracting experience in a research and development environment
- experience managing business to business contracts including negotiation of terms
- expertise in full contract lifecycle management including proposal support, negotiation, contract administration and closeout
- excellent writing skills with ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate correspondence
- ability to demonstrate working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS
- strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence outcomes
- interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration with internal and external customers
- ability to identify risk and develop mitigation recommendations
- proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
- experience with Customer’s Portals (PIEE, Exostar) and ERP Applications
- DoD Secret clearance
