Job Summary
Review, draft, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements for Videojet's North America and global support, including master purchase, service, SaaS licensing, and data protection contracts. Independently structure and manage complex technology-driven transactions while escalating only highly novel issues to legal leadership. Serve as the primary contracts resource for the North America business, applying strong issue-spotting skills to customer and supplier paper to mitigate risks in data usage, cybersecurity, and IP ownership. Lead continuous improvement efforts for contract operations by owning CLM reporting, developing playbooks, and implementing countermeasures for unfavorable trends. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate timely execution and ensure contractual frameworks align with evolving digital business strategies.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10–12+ years of progressive experience reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts supporting both sales and procurement organizations
- Bachelor's degree
- Remote candidates should be available to travel to Wood Dale approximately 10–20% of the time for key meetings, team collaboration, and business needs
- While this role is primarily focus in North America, support in other regions will also be required
- Experience supporting an in-house legal or contracts function within an industrial equipment manufacturer or similarly complex manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
- Prior experience supporting global or cross-border contracting activities is a plus
- Bachelor's degree required; JD preferred
