Job Summary
Senior Contracts Engineer with ABB leads as technical authority for electrical/engineering projects from a home-based model in the United Kingdom. Responsible for approving engineering designs and deliverables, ensuring safety, cybersecurity, and quality compliance across projects; reviewing project documentation; leading resolution of complex technical challenges; partnering with customers and the Sales organization to shape technical solutions; providing technical leadership through peer reviews and design verification; coaching engineering teams and promoting best practices; ensuring target cost, schedule, and quality throughout the project lifecycle; collaborating with project managers, supply chain, manufacturing, testing, and commissioning teams to enable successful project execution.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, or Engineering-related discipline
- 15+ years of senior technical/engineering leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of engineering design, verification, safety, cybersecurity, and quality standards
- Experience with customers, Sales, and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to assess and manage technical risks, costs, and contractual requirements
- Professional qualifications in project management (e.g., PRINCE or equivalent)
- Experience with gas analysers and emissions monitoring (UK context)
