Job Summary
Senior Contract Specialist to assist government contracting officers with cradle-to-grave contract actions across various cradle-to-grave functions; prepare for award and assist with administering contracts and task orders; review solicitation packages; prepare Determination and Findings in accordance with the FAR; research and provide statistical and market research data to contracting officers; must be a U.S. citizen and able to undergo a background investigation; requires a Bachelor's degree with at least 24 hours of business credits and 8+ years of related experience; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with FAR Parts 5, 8, 10, 12, and 15.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with at least 24 hours of business credits
- Minimum of 8 years of related working experience
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must be able to undergo and pass a background investigation (BI)
- Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Parts 5,8,10,12,15
- Ability to assist contracting officers with cradle-to-grave actions
- Prepare for award and administer contracts and task orders
- Review solicitation packages for completeness
- Prepare Determination and Findings per FAR
- Research and provide market research and statistics
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of related working experience
- Experience with the Federal Government in contract-related field or as a contractor to a Federal Government Contracting Officer
- Former Federal Contracting Officer – Series 1102 (GS-13 or above)
- UFMS experience
- FPDS-NG database experience
- Previous experience supporting national security contracts or DoD/Homeland Security/Justice missions (Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and Justice)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
