Job Summary
Lead contract management for assigned portfolios by owning the full contract lifecycle, from tender support through project closure. Draft, negotiate, and review contractual documents with customers and partners while managing risks, governance, and compliance across defense and aerospace sectors. Direct the Contract Manager by setting priorities, conducting check-ins, coaching on quality, and escalating risks. Provide strategic legal advice, coordinate with litigation for disputes, and drive value-protection initiatives including claims and amendments. Maintain auditable documentation and support compliance activities such as third-party screenings and trade duty of vigilance.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced academic background in Law, Contract Management, Business, or related field, equivalent to a Master's degree-level qualification
- Specialization in Law
- 10 to 15 years of demonstrated experience as a legal counsel or contract manager working in an international context
- Experience as part of the legal department of a multinational company
- Analytical and synthesis skills
- Ability to assess situations accurately and propose pragmatic solutions
- Understanding of the stakes associated with a major international Group's compliance program
- Mastery of techniques related to third-party review (third-party screening)
- Ability to conduct compliance analyses
- Strong proactivity towards stakeholders
- Ability to manage priorities
- Appetite in leadership and coaching
- Good listening and communication skills
- Full mastery of IT tools, all types of data exchange platforms, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel on regular basis over the Region (up to once a month)
- Ability to travel to Europe (up to once a year)
