Job Summary
Manage contract administration for large-scale institutional buildings, including assembling construction drawing revisions with minimal supervision and coordinating with contractors, consultants, clients, and authorities having jurisdiction. Interpret manufacturers' requirements, building codes, and construction methodologies while managing time, deadlines, and deliverables across projects spanning eight Canadian provinces and Nunavut. Assemble site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and schedules while maintaining direct involvement from Directors and Principals. Apply Revit, BIM 360, and Bluebeam proficiency to support the firm's hands-on approach to optimizing facility operational requirements and employee well-being.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years' experience in Contract Administration
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, BIM Docs, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture
- Fully versed in the Ontario, or B.C Building Code and have experience with large-scale institutional buildings
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Strong analytical/ problem solving skills
- Strong knowledge of building technology/ assemblies, construction methodology, materials application, and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements
- Able to assemble construction drawing revisions with minimal supervision including site plans, floor plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, details, schedules etc
- Ability to coordinate with Contractor, Consultants, Client and Authorities having Jurisdiction
- Highly organized with the ability to manage time, deadlines and deliverables
- Self-motivated individual capable of assuming increasing responsibility for both current and future projects and who is interested in growing with the firm
