Senior Contract Administrator (Site-Based)

Job Summary
Review and negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and sub-contractors while maintaining and organizing project documentation. Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and the Ontario Building Code for large-scale institutional buildings. Develop project schedules, budgets, and change orders; prepare invoices and manage close-out processes. Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction, responding to RFIs and assembling construction drawing revisions. Act as the project CA lead at site meetings and collaborate with project managers to ensure project success. This full-time role in Durham, Ontario requires 10+ years of experience in contract administration within architecture or construction, a degree in Architecture, and proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in contract administration within the architecture or construction industry
- Degree or diploma from an accredited institution in Architecture
- Strong knowledge of contract law, building technology/assemblies, construction methodology, materials application, and interpretation of manufacturers' requirements
- Proficiency in Revit, BIM 360, BIM Docs, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel and Word
- Fully versed in the Ontario, or B.C Building Code and have experience with large-scale institutional buildings
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and able to manage time, deadlines, and deliverables
- Self-motivated individual capable of assuming increasing responsibility for both current and future projects and interested in growing with the firm
