Job Summary
Senior Consumer Loan Underwriter for Maps Credit Union responsible for underwriting consumer, home equity, and real estate loans; provides guidance, training, and mentorship to junior underwriters; strengthens dealer partnerships and cross-sell opportunities; ensures compliance with lending policies and regulations (BSA, AML, OFAC); builds relationships with dealers and vendors; maintains policy and procedure knowledge; processes loan applications, analyzes reports, and supports loan officers in a hybrid work arrangement in Salem, OR.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in business related college-level courses or seven years combination of experience and financial industry-specific training in lending or finance
- Minimum five years in credit evaluation/consumer underwriting experience with demonstrated progressive responsibilities
- Minimum of one year of experience in a senior or lead role providing team coaching and training
- Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license
- Must be bondable
- Requires the availability to work Monday – Saturday hours
- Non-exempt starting salary range: $33.50 - $37.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience
- Hybrid work schedule (2 days remote and 3 days onsite) after successful completion of a 90-day training period
