Job Summary
Senior Valuation Senior Consultant at a nationally recognized accounting/advisory firm. Lead and deliver business valuation engagements for financial reporting (ASC 805/350), 409A/ASC 718, gift and estate tax, litigation support, and strategic advisory. Develop and analyze financial models (DCF, Black-Scholes, option-pricing, and scenario-based methods); assess complex capital structures with preferred equity, convertibles, warrants, and other equity-linked securities. Prepare detailed valuation reports and narratives; participate from proposal through completion; mentor analysts and coordinate with clients and external stakeholders. Role requires 50% in-office presence across multiple U.S. office locations and hybrid travel to client sites.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of valuation experience in valuation, accounting, or consulting
- Strong understanding of complex securities valuation concepts and option-pricing methodologies; required
- Experience with sophisticated capital structures and scenario-based analyses
- Certifications such as ASA, CPA, ABV, CVA, CEIV, or progress toward certification preferred
- Flexibility to travel to client sites and work in a hybrid environment
