Senior Consultant SOX

Job Summary
Model and improve risk and control processes, identify and implement controls, and test remediation for SOX readiness projects with clients. Assess current processes to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency, while mapping operational and IT workflows to recommend targeted improvements. Act as a trusted advisor to guide clients through the assurance process, teach control implementation, and prepare dashboards and presentations for management. Coach junior colleagues on substantive knowledge and digital tools, ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and fostering automation within controlled environments.
Required Qualifications
- At least 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience developing and implementing risk control frameworks and/or compliance/IT assignments related to SOX
- You understand the importance of risk management and controls within organisations
- You are familiar with the requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and know how to translate and apply them to clients
- You have completed your master's degree at a research university in business economics, accountancy, information management, innovation management, technical or non-technical business administration, or another business, finance or IT-oriented study
- You speak and write fluent English and can adapt easily to changing work environments
- You are able and willing to travel, sometimes within the Netherlands and sometimes abroad, as required for an assignment
Desired Qualifications
- External SOX audit experience is a plus
- A postgraduate RE, RA, RO or RC degree (forthcoming or completed) is a plus
- You have experience and knowledge regarding other IT legislation
