Job Summary
Conduct risk advisory engagements covering internal audit, internal controls over financial reporting (SOX 404/NI 52-019), enterprise risk management, and business process re-design. Collaborate with managers and team members to plan project execution from initiation to completion, directing daily fieldwork progress and informing leadership of engagement status. Review, document, evaluate, and test business processes and internal controls across diverse industries while applying strong project management skills to enhance deliverables. Demonstrate proactive information gathering, present complex ideas clearly, and maintain high-quality client service through consistent fieldwork oversight.
Required Qualifications
- You have completed, or are actively pursuing your professional designation (CPA, CIA, CISA, etc.)
- You have 2-3 years of professional experience in a risk advisory or internal audit setting
- You have specific SOX 404 / NI 52-109 experience assessing the design and operating effectiveness of controls
- You have experience completing key risk and control matrices (KRCMs)
- You have a strong understanding of internal control environments
- You have a strong understanding of enterprise risk management frameworks
- You can diagnose project issues

- You can draft impactful communications for clients
- You display strong problem solving skills
- You display strong leadership skills
- You display strong communication skills
- All BDO personnel are expected to spend some of their time working in the office, at the client site, and virtually
Desired Qualifications
