Senior Consultant, Property Tax Commercial

Job Summary
Conduct research, analyze comparable assessment data, and interpret market transactions to identify property tax savings opportunities. Assist the team with assessment reviews, monitor appeal processes, and reconcile databases while determining potential assessment reductions. Inspect properties, prepare reports, and apply software knowledge to efficiently manage client data. Attend status calls, provide findings to leadership, and build client relationships by inquiring about industry trends. Manage ambiguity, prioritize multiple assignments, and communicate effectively with both team members and clients. Requires in-office attendance three days/week, 15-25% regional travel, and a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields.
Required Qualifications
- intermediate understanding of valuation techniques
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Real Estate, Business Management, Public Administration, MIS/Entrepreneurship, International Business or other degree with MBA, MST or JD
- One to three years of property tax related experience
- Valid driver's license
- intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research
- in-office attendance three days/week, typically Tuesday-Thursday
- typically 15-25% regional travel for hearings and site visits
- Possesses knowledge in assessment review, appeal determination, tax bill administration and the three valuation approaches; cost, sales comparison and income
- possesses knowledge of assessment equalization methodology that may apply in certain states
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
