Senior Consultant (Project Manager)

Job Summary
The Senior Consultant will lead project management for multi-workstream engagements, partnering with universities, research institutes, industry R&D entities, and public agencies to enhance innovation portfolios and operational practices. Responsibilities include managing project execution, tracking timelines, handling risks, serving as the primary client contact, providing status reporting, coordinating engagements from subject-matter experts, and driving the adoption of best practices into standard procedures. Ideal candidates will have significant project management experience in consulting, strong professional credentials, and a background in innovation and commercialization.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant science or engineering discipline
- Certified (or equivalent experience) in project/programme management (examples: PMP, PRINCE2, Agile)
- At least 7 years of experience managing projects in a consulting or client-facing environment
- Previous consulting experience with government and academic clients, start-ups, including portfolio reviews and programme delivery
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in SQL, R, or Python for analysis and dashboarding
- Demonstrated experience establishing or strengthening technology transfer offices (TTOs)
- Previous experience in academia and/or industry R&D
- Track record working within start-up and innovation ecosystems (accelerators, incubators, venture, corporate partnerships)
- Prior experience working with patents databases analytics tools
