Job Summary
Senior Consultant in Marsh McLennan Agency's Employee Health & Benefits practice will leverage extensive health and welfare knowledge to advise clients, manage vendor relationships and negotiations, oversee RFPs, renewals, and implementations, and develop long- and short-range benefit strategies. The role requires coordinating project plans, delivering periodic client-group presentations, benchmarking plan data, interpreting underwriting calculations, and traveling to client sites about 20% of the time. A Bachelor's Degree is required, with 10+ years in the insurance industry and Life Accident & Health Licensure (or commitment to obtain within 12 months). CEBS designation is preferred. Strong communication and writing skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are expected. The position supports a hybrid work schedule (3 days in office, 2 days from home) with offices in New York and Saddle Brook, NJ. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 10+ years in insurance industry experience with thorough understanding of all benefit plans (medical, dental, life, STD, LTD); design, rate structures, funding alternatives and compliance requirements
- Life Accident & Health Licensure or commitment to achieving within 12 months of start date
