Job Summary

Senior Consultant, HR Process & Compliance at LifeLabs supports governance and compliance across HR programs. Responsibilities include conducting regular and ad-hoc audits of HR processes (onboarding, terminations, employee changes, leave management, compensation changes), monitoring regulatory and policy changes, preparing audit reports and remediation steps, supporting internal/external audits, collaborating with Legal, Finance, and IT to integrate compliance into HR workflows, designing and implementing internal control frameworks, leading root-cause analyses, developing SOPs and process documentation, facilitating process redesign and standardization, supporting change management and adoption, and partnering with HR teams to ensure policies are translated into actionable procedures. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3-5 years HR operations experience, and familiarity with HR standards and governance. It emphasizes collaboration across HR functions, cross-functional stakeholders, and continuous improvement of enterprise HR processes in a healthcare context.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field HR program
  • 3 to 5 years of progressive experience in HR operations
  • HR Designation (CCP, CHRL) would be an asset
  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent process improvement certification would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Employment Standards Act and other relevant legislation
  • Experience with HR processes including records administration, statutory reporting and regulations
  • Experience in creating and implementing SOPs and translating policy into operational execution
  • Experience with project management and change management methodologies
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement governance frameworks
  • Familiarity with HR Systems and documentation tools
  • Change agent with ability to challenge the status quo through influence
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence without authority
  • Experience with workflow modeling and business requirements gathering
