Senior Consultant Health Science (Product Stewardship/Regulatory Affairs)

Job Summary
Support the execution of Product Stewardship and Safety projects with a focus on Japanese Pesticides and Biorationals. Act as a team member for interdisciplinary and international regulatory projects, advising clients on existing and upcoming regulatory obligations in environmental, health, and safety fields. Prepare and submit client dossiers, conduct literature reviews, and interact with authorities, study organizations, and monitor study trials regarding efficacy, toxicity, and environmental fate. Serve as the interface between Japanese clients and international Ramboll colleagues while supporting the Project Manager on related tasks. This role requires fluency in Japanese and English, a Bachelor's degree in agriculture or related fields, and at least five years of experience in plant protection product registration or regulatory affairs. Based in Tokyo, Japan, the position offers a full-time opportunity within Ramboll's Environment and Health Business Unit.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher in agriculture, pharmacy, biology, veterinary medicine, chemistry, or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years' industry or consulting experience with plant protection product registration, regulatory affairs for pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or related products
- Experience in regulatory science
- Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work streams in a fast-paced environment while maintaining outstanding attention to detail and quality of deliverables
- Experience/comfort with working in a virtual team with stakeholders across geographies
- Excellent proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- You are fluent in Japanese and English
- At least you have the ability to effectively communicate in English in internal meetings and through email correspondence
- You are a confident communicator and listener and like interacting with people
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the agrochemical industry, multinational companies, and/or research institutions
- Previous experience in working within an international and multicultural organization would be a plus
- Knowledge in toxicology, ecotoxicology, efficacy testing or study monitoring would be a plus
- Experience with fertilizer or household chemicals would be a plus
- Good project management and client communication skills
- Good time management and organisational capabilities
- Ability to grasp the big picture
