Job Summary
Interpret regulations related to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) for government contractors. Develop compliance-based business systems, assess policies and procedures, and evaluate business processes to recommend improvement initiatives. Assist in analyzing government allegations of noncompliance, preparing audit finding responses, and reviewing cost and financial data. Calculate indirect rates, prepare incurred cost submissions, and perform budget and cashflow analysis. Support contract/project setup, closeout procedures, and estimation at completion (EAC) while establishing credibility as a trusted advisor. Requires US citizenship, 3+ years of government contracting experience, and up to 25% travel.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 3+ years of relevant government contracting experience
- Working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS) Business Systems and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)
- Experience with supporting risk assessments and executing compliance reviews including unallowable costs reviews, cost proposal reviews, and reviews of audit finding responses
- Knowledge of indirect rates and cost estimates
- Experience supporting the design, maintenance, and/or testing of controls related to DFARS business systems
- Knowledge of Forecast and Budget Modeling (Balance Sheet, Income Statement and Headcount)
- Demonstrated knowledge of accounting/audit practices, procedures, and reporting standards
- Flexibility to travel up to 25% or more
- US Citizenship
