Job Summary
Design and deliver innovative IT projects on GCP, focusing on data-driven architectures and modern engineering practices. Automate deployments and CI/CD workflows using GCP-native tooling like Cloud Build and Terraform. Build and evolve cloud distributed systems with an eye toward scalability and cost efficiency while providing best-practice consulting and support in the GCP domain. Collaborate within the synvert group on GCP-related topics and identify opportunities in customer cloud projects to extend business impact. Engage customers with clear communication, ranging from technical deep-dives to high-level roadmaps. Coach practice members and contribute to the success of the GCP cluster at synvert.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in the area of Cloud/ Data Engineering & consultancy
- Experience with hands-on implementation of the GCP Cloud/ Data Engineering projects
- GCP certifications (e.g. Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Data Engineer) or a strong record of delivering successful GCP projects
- Excellent programming skills in Java, Python, or Scala
- Strong expertise in GCP data services (e.g. BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub) and designing scalable architectures
- Best practices in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Pulumi) with a focus on security and compliance
- Bachelor/Master's degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Information Management or in similar qualifications
- Openness to occasional travel (up to 30% of the time)
- German, English: fluent in speaking & writing
- Good presentation and communication skills
