Job Summary
Draft expert reports and claims responses with minimal supervision, ensuring clarity and impactful communication. Review, compile, and analyse records using scheduling or database software, then perform delay analysis using industry-recognised methodologies such as Time Impact Analysis and Window Analysis. Act as Lead Assistant overseeing technical reports, client strategy recommendations, and weekly progress reports for the Commission Lead. Support delivery across delay consulting, programming, and planning services, including preparing narratives explaining delay and disruption for formal dispute processes. Secure new client appointments and identify business development initiatives. This role offers growth within a worldwide provider of engineering and technical consulting, serving corporations, insurance companies, law firms, and government agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, quantity surveying, law or a related field
- 3-5 years post graduate experience working for a construction or engineering contractor or specialist claims consultancy
- Project planning/delivery experience
- Experience working on contentious disputes, especially arbitration and/or other formal dispute resolution
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft large sections of professional reports
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
- Ability to process, model and present large data sets
- Analytical thinker and problem solver
- High level of attention to detail
