Job Summary
Lead data governance projects from initial planning through completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes including P&L management. Design and implement comprehensive data governance frameworks tailored to client needs while providing expert advice on best practices and conducting workshops to enable clients. Establish offerings around organizational trends and lead sales pitches as the subject matter expert, identifying opportunities and risks to create new roles within existing projects. Strengthen the data governance cluster with strong technical and organizational strategy, representing synvert in external networks to build market reputation. Requires seven years of experience in data governance, proficiency with tools like Collibra and Informatica, and fluency in German and English. Open to occasional travel up to 30% of the time.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field
- Experience in consulting or advisory roles related to data governance
- Proven track record of successfully leading data governance projects
- Working with data governance tools and technologies (e.g. Ab Initio, Collibra, Informatica, Alation)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Ab Initio, DAMA Certified Data Management Professional, etc.)
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, frameworks, and best practices
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze complex data issues and develop effective solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels
- Experience with managing projects as well as hands-on implementation of the Cloud/ area Data Engineering projects
- Openness to occasional travel (up to 30% of the time)
- German, English: fluent in speaking & writing
- Proven ability to identify opportunities and risks within projects and create new roles within existing projects
