Job Summary
Deliver complex Data & AI, analytics, and platform modernization projects using Azure data services including Microsoft Fabric and Azure Databricks. Lead client workshops, architecture discussions, and technical engagements while designing scalable, secure, and governed data platform solutions. Support sales and pre-sales activities, develop data models and semantic insights, and advocate adoption and change management. Mentor consultants, produce high-quality technical documentation, and manage project risks and delivery outcomes. This client-facing role involves occasional travel to UK and international sites, including overnight stays when required.
Required Qualifications
- UK passport or ability to live and work in the UK without employer sponsorship
- 5+ years' experience delivering Data & AI, analytics or data platform projects using Microsoft and/or Azure Databricks technologies
- 3-5 years' experience in a client-facing consultancy or professional services environment
- Strong knowledge of Lakehouse, Data Warehousing, data modelling and modern analytics architectures
- Experience building data pipelines, integration solutions and cloud-based data platforms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and consulting capabilities
- Experience delivering projects using Agile methodologies
- Strong experience designing and delivering modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL and Data Lake technologies
- Proven experience implementing Lakehouse, Data Warehouse and Medallion Architecture patterns, including data modelling, governance and performance optimization
- Expertise in building scalable data ingestion, transformation and orchestration pipelines, integrating data from cloud, on-premises and third-party business systems
- Strong hands-on capability with SQL, Python, Spark and PySpark for data engineering, analytics and automation workloads
- Experience with Azure Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric engineering workloads, including notebooks, Delta Lake, data transformation, optimization and operationalization of data solutions
- An understanding of data governance, security, lineage and data quality, using tools and frameworks such as Microsoft Purview and enterprise governance practices
- Experience developing Power BI semantic models, dashboards and reporting solutions that enable self-service analytics and business decision-making
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and DevOps practices for deploying and managing modern data platforms
- Ability to engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, secure and supportable data and analytics solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management, workshop facilitation and communication skills
- Able to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solution design
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
